Maggie Holland, Psy.D.

Dr. Hol­land is a licensed psy­chol­o­gist with exper­tise in using evi­dence-based treat­ments for indi­vid­u­als cop­ing with chal­leng­ing med­ical con­di­tions, in addi­tion to mood, anx­i­ety, trau­ma, adjust­ment, rela­tion­ship, and sub­stance use dif­fi­cul­ties.  She received her doc­tor­ate in clin­i­cal psy­chol­o­gy in 2016 and master’s degree in coun­sel­ing and clin­i­cal health psy­chol­o­gy in 2011 from the Philadel­phia Col­lege of Osteo­path­ic Med­i­cine.  Dur­ing this time, she trained in mul­ti­ple pri­ma­ry care clin­ics, an inter­dis­ci­pli­nary clin­ic treat­ing patients with mul­ti­ple scle­ro­sis, and received 2 years of train­ing at the Cen­ter for Cog­ni­tive Ther­a­py at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Penn­syl­va­nia.  Dr. Hol­land com­plet­ed her intern­ship and post-doc­tor­al fel­low­ship train­ing at Chero­kee Health Sys­tems (CHS) in Knoxville, TN, where she spe­cial­ized in behav­ioral health con­sul­ta­tion in a pri­ma­ry care clin­ic.  She remained on staff at CHS for an addi­tion­al 3 years where she served on the train­ing com­mit­tee and super­vised pre-doc­tor­al practicum and post-doc­tor­al stu­dents.  She has also enjoyed a con­sul­ta­tion role for a health­care qual­i­ty improve­ment orga­ni­za­tion, pro­fes­sion­al med­ical asso­ci­a­tions, and health­care orga­ni­za­tions in var­i­ous states where she has pro­vid­ed train­ings on inte­grat­ed care, Moti­va­tion­al Inter­view­ing, and chron­ic pain management.
