Dr. Fore­man, a Psy­chol­o­gist, earned his doc­tor­ate in clin­i­cal psy­chol­o­gy from George Mason Uni­ver­si­ty in 2001.  He interned at East­ern Vir­ginia Med­ical School, then com­plet­ed a post­doc­tor­al fel­low­ship in pain psy­chol­o­gy at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Vir­ginia Health Sys­tem Pain Man­age­ment Cen­ter.  Dr. Fore­man has spe­cial­ized exper­tise in the cog­ni­tive-behav­ioral treat­ment of chron­ic pain, med­ical­ly-ori­ent­ed issues, depres­sion, anx­i­ety dis­or­ders, and insom­nia.  He also spe­cial­izes in bariatric psy­chol­o­gy, includ­ing con­duct­ing pre-sur­gi­cal psy­cho­log­i­cal eval­u­a­tions and fol­low-up treat­ment for patients being con­sid­ered for weight loss surgery.
